We made our way to Alyeska Resort, tucked below the Chugach Mountains. A glide up the famous tram felt like rising into an aerial cathedral: sweeping ridgelines, crisp air, and the quiet sense that Alaska’s wilderness is gently towering over you. It’s equal parts energizing and grounding.

Seward: Harbor + Whittier too = Charm and Glacier Majesty

From there, we headed to Seward, a harbor town that always feels ready for its close-up. It was our jumping-off point for not one but two fjord and glacier cruises, each one a highlight reel of Alaska’s coastal magic. Think towering cliffs, floating ice, seals draped on rocks like nap-loving royalty, and glaciers that speak in thunderous cracks and deep rumbles. Another standout experience was riding the Alaska Railroad with my fellow advisors. Local Dining: Alaska With a Fork and Knife

Because Greatland Adventures loves showcasing local flavor, our days were threaded with fantastic meals. Cozy cafés, fresh seafood, and dishes that tasted like they were crafted with the landscape in mind. Good food always anchors a good trip, and these meals made each evening feel celebratory.

Jack’s Bar from Virgin River

If you’re a fan of Netflix’s Virgin River, you’ll recognize Jack’s Bar—or at least the

filming location that brings it to life.

Visiting the bar in person was a fun nod to the show and

 added a unique twist to my itinerary and a great moment to sample some local beer!

Peak to Peak: The Ultimate Whistler Experience

No trip to Whistler is complete without experiencing the Peak 2 Peak Gondola. Spanning more than 2 miles between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, it holds world records for both the longest and highest lift of its kind. Floating above the treetops with glaciers, alpine lakes, and endless peaks stretching out around you ( queue the bucketlist moment )
